Founded in 2009, Read-Cycling is Hong Kong’s passionate charity for books and book lovers—has teamed up with schools, corporations, and kindred individuals for 15 years to breathe new life into used books and spark vibrant cultural events that make reading your daily joy!

Our mission is to promote sustainable reading habits by collecting, sorting, and reselling used books at affordable prices, while partnering with organizations, schools, corporations, and individuals to give books a second life and organize diverse cultural activities that integrate reading into daily life.

Our vision is to transform Hong Kong into a “reading city”—a vibrant, culturally rich hub where reading brings endless joy and becomes an essential part of everyday life.

Free Book Programmes

Free Books for NGOs/Schools & Book Trips

We want to make books more accessible in schools and community centres. Contact us if you think this is a good idea. You can choose as many books as you like for your students/members. Totally free.

To the less-privileged community members, books are but luxury items. Through the Book Trip Program, they have the chance to build their very own home library and see a bigger world. To the young book lovers, we are happy to be their all-time reading companion by offering them free books of their interests.
